AlWaqf saw the need of the poor and needy, particularly the homeless.

Providing them with groceries and food products is of little value since they do not have anywhere to store such goods, and somewhere to prepare hot meals.

Hence the idea of providing them hot meals of a very basic nature came about. The aim is to alleviate hunger. It’s not intended to provide anything fanciful or particularly delicious or tasty. It is hoped to get across to many people as reasonable possible, with some essential nutrition that will keep their back straight and take them through the day.

Hunger knows no season or specific time of the year. It is universal and all pervasive. We can only hope to do our little bit in being one small step towards reaching to those who have to go to sleep every night on an empty stomach.

The meals are provided free of charge, on a daily basis. Anyone is welcome to take benefit of this offering. We do not discriminate between any of the recipients.

May Allah Ta’ala accept the efforts of all those behind this project, and reward them abundantly. The very least you could do is support this endeavor through your Duas.
